About Wordle: free daily 5-letter word puzzle

Wordle is a daily word game where you guess a hidden five-letter word in six tries. Coloured tiles show which letters are right after each guess.

1Step 1Type any real five-letter word and press Enter.
2Step 2Green means the letter is in the right spot; yellow means it is in the word but elsewhere; grey means it is not in the word.
3Step 3Use the hints to find the word within six tries.

Start with a word that has common, different letters, such as CRANE, SLATE or AUDIO, to test vowels and frequent consonants early.

The daily word is the same for everyone and changes at midnight. On Trivillion you can play extra words after finishing the daily one.

Guesses are checked against the Letterpress word list, an English dictionary of about 275,000 words, so only real words are accepted.
